"Birmingham FS Show"
02-16-03, 10:40z

Hi Guy's,

Just a heads up for the folk in the UK and a date for your diaries <s>.

The annual Flight Simulator Show in Birmingham is a month early this year
due to other event conflicts.
It's on Sunday the 26th October 2003 instead of the Saturday a month later.

Lot's of complaining about the Sunday on simflight.vatsim-uk about it <LOL>.

Regards,

James (CONman) Anderson

Hi James,

Thanks for that. The earlier date will suit me fine after the horrendous traffic jam last year. The summer/early autumn release of FS9 also means copies will be available at the show.

Just a pity it's the Sunday the clocks go back :-(

Hi Ray,

I've been sort of watching for you to happen by. If you get a chance, drop by my site and have a look at the CMFS utility I posted last week. It's the upshot of our earlier conversations, you might find it interesting...

Hi Bob,

Sorry I haven't been around for a while - been busy with Radar Contact for the last 6 months.

I've downloaded your file and will have a read over the next couple of evenings. Since we last spoke I am now using Pete Dowson's FSUIPC for many of my yoke and throttle button / lever assignments including a very handy reverse thrust with a spare lever on the yoke.

I'm sorry I never uploaded my promised document on configuring the CM software. I spent a whole evening writing a big speel only to decide it was a load of rubbish and at that point stopped! Never found time to get back to it as I've been testing Radar Contact (still doing so actually).

Anyway, as I said earlier, I'll have a read and come back to you.

Hi Ray,

>> Sorry I haven't been around for a while - been busy with Radar Contact for the last 6 months. <<

You did seem a bit scarce, I hadn't seen you here or on AvSim in quite awhile. I was beginning to wonder if you'd given up on the Internet entirely (not that I could really blame you<g>).

Okay. Well, no hurry. I just wanted to let you know I'd done something with it. Have you upgraded to CM 2.0 yet? The new scripting capability gives you considerably more capability than what was available in the 1.xx versions, you might find some interesting possibilities there.

Yes, I've produced a number of "loads of rubbish" myself along the way<g>. I finally just decided to build a utility to modify Devices.cfg. It saved a lot of explanation and is useful whether you use FSUIPC or make the assignments yourself.

>> Anyway, as I said earlier, I'll have a read and come back to you. <<

Okay, whenever you can get around to it. As I said, I mainly wanted to let you know it was there.

Regards,

- Bob
