"Enhanced Frame Rate Counter exists in FS2002"
07-22-02, 17:47z

Hi all,

Remember FRATE that Tim Gregson kindly wrote for FS98 and updated for FS2000? Well, son of FRATE exists in FS2002! I discovered this from a message in AvSim which I hope I'm allowed to mention ;-)

It's not a DLL this time. Instead you add the following line to the MAIN section of FS2002.CFG...

AVE_FRAME_RATE_DISPLAY=1

Hitting Shift+Z twice reveals min, avg and max values but there are two other values that I have yet to decode. I'm sure this mystery won't remain one for long with all the brainpower on this site! :-)

I really missed FRATE so it's nice to see it back albeit in a slightly different style.

Regards,

Ray Proudfoot,
Cheshire, England
