"MS Flight Sim X / X-Plane"
12-28-06, 04:32z

Hello there.

It has been a while since I had any contact with you guys. I wish you all a great 2007 and hope that you all had a Merry Xmas.

Has any of you installed FS X? How does it feel? I have not bought it yet because my computer is not powerful enough to run it. I would really like to try the G1000 glass cockpits and the new avionics that probably come with this new version.....

On this same line....How about X-Plane, even Richard Collins has praised it in Flying Magazine. The software price is ridiculously low for such a powerful simmulator (sells for just US$50). But the hardware requirements are almost double than FSX so as you may guess... I still donīt have it. Has any of you tried it?

Ben, I guess that since you have always supported MS Flight Sim, you will probably be using it for your scheduled flights? When are you planning to do this? will it be possible to log into this flight sessions with FS9?

Well, thank you in advance for your comments..Wish you all happy flying. Take care,

Alberto.

Greetings Alberto!

Same to you. We had a great one. Christmas is still magical when you have young ones around.

The others will have to chime in on this.

Not for a few years. I'm sure Austin has made strides since then.

Vic's the only one of our regulars that uses FSX. I don't know the details of how he does it, but he's able to connect to our regular flights in the Flight Terminal with FSX when the rest of us are flying FS2K4.

Happy New Year!

Ben
